We build internal systems. This is the one we made for everybody.
Hisaabwala is a product of Simply Five Studio, a Chennai firm that builds custom operational systems for founder led Indian businesses.
What we normally do
Simply Five Studio builds tailor made internal web systems: quotation to order to work order flows, inventory, party portals, dashboards, the machinery a business runs on but cannot buy off a shelf. We build to the workflow, ship in six to twelve weeks, and the client owns the code and the data.
That work suits businesses at a certain size. Below it, the arithmetic stops making sense. A firm doing a few crores does not need a bespoke system and should not be sold one, but it still deserves better than a notebook and four WhatsApp groups.
Hisaabwala exists for that gap.
Why a starter set
Small and micro businesses get offered two things. The first is a billing app built for a retail counter, which handles the sale and nothing that happens around it. The second is an international platform whose assumptions were set somewhere the credit cycle, the price negotiation and the paperwork all work differently.
The hardware trade makes this obvious. A shop in Chennai, Coimbatore or Secunderabad runs a large part of its business on credit extended by memory and relationship. Rates move by who is asking. Stock is counted by the person who has stood in front of it for fifteen years. None of that is disorder. It is how the market works, and software that refuses to accept it gets abandoned in the first month.
The same pattern holds in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Vizag, Hyderabad and Kolkata, and in the smaller cities that are growing into the same trade. We have built for enough of them to know which parts repeat.
Hisaabwala is those repeating parts, packaged. Starter modules for businesses that have not reached the stage of a full custom system, shaped around the market they actually trade in.
How we work
- We say no when it does not fit
- If Hisaabwala is wrong for your business we will tell you, and if a custom build is premature we will tell you that too. We are opinionated and not for everyone, which is the point.
- Your figures stay yours
- Download everything to Excel whenever you like. If you stop paying, access ends but the export does not, so you are never holding your own records to ransom.
- We are precise about what this is
- Hisaabwala records and organises what you enter. It is not accounting software, it is not connected to any government system, and it does not replace your chartered accountant. Anyone who tells you their product does all three is selling you a problem.
